Clondalkin Kirchberg achieves environmental certification

Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Kirchberg has been successfully awarded the ISO 14001:2015 environment management standard, recognising the company’s commitment to minimising its impact on the environment.

ISO 14001:2015 sets out the criteria for an environmental management system. It recognises companies that have adopted environmentally responsible practices in their business processes.

In addition Clondalkin Kirchberg has also achieved the international occupational health and safety standard OHSAS 18001: 2007.

Bernhard Jäggi, managing director of Clondalkin Kirchberg, said: “We are committed to the environment and for many years we have been investing in technologies and raw materials to prevent or minimise the effects of our products on the environment. We are currently developing additional projects and processes to reduce CO2 and VOC emissions. The sustainable and environmentally friendly use of resources is defined by annual targets.

“The health and safety of our employees, and thus their work safety, is also at the top of our agenda. Our goal is zero accidents. We achieve this through continuous training, highly experienced supervisors and encouraging a positive safety culture amongst employees.”

Clondalkin Kirchberg is also certified to the ISO9001: 2015 quality management standard and the BRC global standard for product safety. Through its external certifications, Clondalkin Kirchberg demonstrates transparency and responsibility towards its employees, the environment and its customers.
