Durst starts live demos of Tau 330 RSC Series in newly-opened Customer Experience Center

Durst’s new futuristic headquarters is officially open and operational and represents a watershed in its transformation into a highly integrated process service provider.

The new HQ building in Brixen, in the beautiful south Tyrol, Italy, connects a new administrative block with production facilities. It also hosts the new Customer Experience Center, where customers and prospects from all over the world can evaluate the high performance of Durst’s industrial inkjet printing presses for a broad range of applications and industries.

Among other high-end industrial inkjet printing presses, the Tau 330 RSC label printing presses are available day-by-day for live demonstrations or even specialized demos to interested label converters, whereby clients can bring in their own files and materials to run a trial on the RSC label printing presses. The Tau 330 RSC high performance label printing press, with very high printing speeds of 78 lin/m per minute and highest color gamut coverage, as well as the budget-priced Tau 330 RSC E, are available to run special tests and production trials.

Specifically targeted at small and medium converters in the mid-tier market, the new Tau 330 RSC E is available in 330mm and 244mm print widths, offering 4 colors or 4 colors and white option in full-speed mode. The Tau RSC E benefits from Durst’s state-of-the-art RSC technology. Its native resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dpi combined with its smallest drop size of 2 pl provides photo-like quality.

Production capacity of 1,020 m² / hour is achievable with a printing speed of 52 m/min at full color including white. High pigmented inks reduce ink consumption by up to 20% per square meter, optimizing running costs to the lowest possible level. All options from the Tau 330 RSC can be fitted to the new model, which include the chill roller, variable data printing or the external jumbo winders.

The new machine runs at 52 linear m/min and can have up to 8 color stations (CMYK-W-OVG).  Additionally, it will be field upgradable to the full Durst Tau RSC high-speed press at 78 linear meters/min (245 ft./min).

Fast, efficient, powerful and easy-to-use prepress Durst Workflow Label software is also demonstrated live in the new demo facility, whereby interested clients can verify the ease of use, the achievable high color accuracy as well as the fast ripping time of Durst’s own prepress software, the Durst Workflow Label.
