ebeam Technologies to showcase cure for personalised food-safe packaging at ICE Europe

ebeam Technologies will exhibit at the upcoming ICE Europe exhibition, taking place March 21-23 in Munich, in Hall A5, Stand 1161. Visitors to the stand will learn how ebeam’s Inkjet Dryer (EID) system enables food packaging converters to mass produce inkjet-printed personalised labels and packaging without the food contamination risk from photoinitiators that are required in UV-cured inks.

On its stand, the company will exhibit its EID, said to be the world’s first electron beam system for curing inkjet inks on Food Contact Materials (FCMs). Show attendees will be able to discover more about the production of high-quality, durable, food-safe finishes achieved through printing with ebeam-curable inkjet inks and inline curing by the EID.

Kaspar Zimmerli, director sales EMEA and Japan, commented: “Converters looking for ways to help their food brand customers differentiate their product through personalisation and eliminate challenges such as the need for UV photoinitiators in their packaging should visit us at ICE Europe to discover how ebeam technology solves these problems. Food packaging converters are keen to avoid the risk associated with photoinitiator migration from UV inks used on indirect food contact materials. With ebeam, this issue is eliminated because the EID provides a compact curing stage for photoinitiator-free ebeam-curable inks.”

Visitors to ICE Europe 2016 will be able to explore how ebeam technology is revolutionising food safety and process efficiency at the ebeam Technologies stand.

The company designs, manufactures and integrates electron beam technology solutions for global customers and is headquartered in Switzerland with production and engineering facilities in Switzerland and the United States.
