Epson SureColor SC-P7000V printer makes European debut at Labelexpo

Epson will show the new 24-inch SureColor SC-P7000V aqueous inkjet printer for the first time in Europe at Labelexpo Europe following its global launch at Graph Expo earlier this month.
The 10-colour SureColor SC-P7000V with inline Epson ILS30 SpectroProofer (seen on the left) offers a total solution for any ultra-high-quality, ‘brand-level’ packaging and label proofing application.
The SureColor SC-P7000V is a wide-gamut printer featuring Epson’s exclusive PrecisionCore printhead technology, producing performance and quality with ultra-precise control of dot size and placement. Utilising Epson’s advanced UltraChrome HDX inks the 10-colour SureColor SC-P7000V adds violet ink to its CMYK/Lk/Lc/Lm/Green/Orange ink set.
The result is support of 99 per cent of the Pantone colour library, making it the most colour-accurate large-format inkjet printer utilising 10 or fewer colours. For larger proofing applications a 44-inch version, the SureColor SC-P9000V, is also available.
Coupled with the SureColor SC-P7000V, the inline Epson ILS30 SpectroProofer ensures consistent, repeatable colour accuracy regardless of media, rapidly measuring control strips and colour charts when creating ICC profiles and print verification results. The ILS30 supports the latest ISO lighting and measurement standards – including M1 measurement mode.
Plus, Epson’s new Colour Calibration Utility software measures colour density and concentration and stores the information on the printer itself – eliminating the inconvenience of continually importing and exporting measurement data. The calibration process is easier and faster: simply calibrate once for the calibrated data to be used across all media types (including third-party media) as well as all print modes.
At Labelexpo the printer will be driven by GMG colour management software and demonstrating a variety of demanding packaging proofing applications.
