Flint Group confirms the acquisition of American Inks and Coatings

Flint Group confirmed yesterday the acquisition of American Inks and Coatings (AIC) based in Arkansas, USA, as part of its long-range strategy to grow in key packaging segments around the world.

“We are very excited by the potential of this partnership,” said Antoine Fady, CEO, Flint Group. “The investment in AIC leaves Flint Group very well positioned to support the dynamic growth witnessed in the global packaging market and aligns us even closer to customers situated in the important North American packaging and converting market.”

Michael Mosley, president of AIC added: “AIC is extremely happy to join together with Flint Group – we have built an organisation with relentless customer focus; the expansive infrastructure that Flint Group provides will strengthen that focus through extended people and innovation resources. Any transition will remain seamless with our focus firmly placed on providing improved products and services to our customers.”

Doug Aldred, president Flint Group packaging & narrow web division, commented: “We are delighted to welcome the customers and staff of AIC to Flint Group. In combining the strengths of AIC and Flint Group, we are able to provide the North American packaging market with greater product expertise and also deliver improved value and service platforms to our customers.

“The increased knowledge and expertise obtained as a result of this acquisition will only further enhance Flint Group’s global potential as we continue to support our packaging and converting customers in reaching their goals.”

At the end of last year, the company announced the major takeover of Xeikon, with the formation of a newly created division to be called Flint Group Digital Printing Solutions.
