Fusiion 550 Indexer Module

Rotarylogic, a well-established UK manufacturer of registered hologram converting equipment, launched their NEW narrow web Fusiion 550 Indexer during a recent Open Day which was supported by leading industry suppliers KURZ, UPM Raflatac, Rotometrics & Printcolor.

The machine was demonstrated with a jointly developed “registered hologram” (KURZ/Rotarylogic) embossed onto a promotional self-adhesive A4 sheet, which combined a section of tax stamps. The “Fusiion Indexer” system offers state of the art technology, including total servo control, with optional camera recognition control for closed-loop production to enable shorter set-up, excellent registration +/-0.15mm standard with +/-0.1mm using closed loop camera control accuracy, minimum foil waste and minimum operator input, ensuring consistency during production. Multi-stream registered holograms, cross-striping and continuous foiling (linear striping or full width) in reel to reel or reel to sheet format, are just a few of the many applications with many more bespoke options available on request.

The Fusiion 550 is available as an individual off-line machine solution or as an in-line module (See Photo)  integrated onto a new or existing modular printing press for applications such as tax stamps, security labels, certificates and documents.

Cigarette tipping paper is another application for which the company has installed a dedicated three foil station solution to apply different colours in one pass. This continuous format runs in production at up to 120mpm.
