H.B. Fuller meets holographic market needs

Holographic labels

H.B. Fuller is excited with the response to its Swift®melt 1908, which was recently launched in India at Labelexpo 2018. Designed by scientists and customised to meet the unique requirements in India, this new hot melt PSA is set to play its role in reinventing the future of tapes and labels!

Labelexpo India 2018, held from November 22-25, 2018, was witness to the increasing importance of holograms for security of brands in the Indian market. Holograms have become an important tool for prohibiting counterfeiting and piracy, as recognised by the Authentication Solution Providers’ Association (ASPA). They cannot be copied by conventional reprographic, are durable, have a high aesthetic appeal, and can be applied to a wide variety of substrates and products, thus making them a versatile, cost-effective and ideal method of authentication. According to ASPA, more than 25 states in India are currently using security holograms to authenticate liquor bottles.

H.B. Fuller’s Swift®melt 1908 is an innovative PSA that has been designed for providing high adhesion, precise die cutting performance and clean converting on holographic label stock. Developed by scientists, Swift®melt 1908 delivers a great balance of peel, tack and cohesion at very fast melt rates, ensuring greater productivity while securing bonding excellence. The interest generated in the product at the H.B. Fuller booth bore testimony to the Indian market’s need for holograms as a mark of security.
