Corrugated packaging manufacturers, Durham Box, has achieved a AA grade following their recent annual BRC certification audit. Under the revised issue 5 of the BRC Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials, a AA grade is one of the highest awards that a business can achieve within the scheme.
Being applicable to packaging that’s intended to come into direct contact food and other hygiene sensitive products, the BRC certificate streamlines the supplier approval process and makes it easier for packaging companies to meet the requirements of the BRC Food Standard, while also helping retailers and food manufacturers to adhere to their legal obligations.
Durham Box’s commercial manager, Dan Morris, said: “Achieving a AA grade demonstrates our commitment to both existing customers and prospects, that we will deliver the highest possible standards in all that we do. The achievement is a credit to the hard work and resolve of all our employees.”
