Intelligent Finishing Systems (IFS) has confirmed its attendance at this year’s edition of The Print Show, taking place at the NEC in Birmingham from October 11-13.

The Print Show 2016 aims to build on the success of its inaugural edition last year by bringing in even more exhibitors and visitors for the second edition of the show. A number of companies that were in attendance at the 2015 event have already signed up to return this year, while a number of other brands have confirmed that they will have a presence for the first time in October.

IFS becomes the latest company to commit for this year, agreeing to a major stand of its own in October after appearing at the event last year through a partnership with the IPIA. The finishing solutions provider will use its increased presence to show options from across its portfolio.

Speaking about the decision to sign up, Bryan Godwyn, managing director at IFS, said he believes that The Print Show can support the industry’s ongoing recovery this year and that the supplier is keen to showcase its solutions to help print companies continue their own recovery strategies.

“We attended the event last year working with the IPIA and the event went well,” he said. “We simply have to have a larger stand if we want to try to show IFS and our range as it should be shown and so we have decided to do just that. This way, we can show a far larger range of finishing systems and solutions.

“2015 has been a period of recovery and we expect and hope that to continue into 2016 and our customers are all faced with the same issues. They have to produce quality work on time at very keen prices.”

Although the event is some way off, Godwyn said that IFS already has a few ideas as to how it will approach the show. He said that the company will display a host of core products from across the finishing sector.

“We will be showing core products from our range from Horizon bookletmakers, saddlestitching perfect binders and folders to Foliant laminators. The final configuration will be decided nearer the event.”

Event director Chris Davies was quick to praise the decision of IFS to sign up for the event, explaining that by doing so, the firm has secured a prominent position on the floorplan for the 2016 show.

“The support of a name as big as IFS just goes to show the continuing confidence that the industry has in us as an organiser as well as The Print Show brand. We have built something special and, as last year’s event showed, it is just what the UK industry needs if it is to continue its recovery and experience growth.”
