Jarshire's RH90 Roll Handler from Dotec
Jarshire’s RH90 Roll Handler from Dotec

Jarshire, specialist supplier of components and machinery for the converting, packaging and printing industries, will be showing off its latest products at this year’s PPMA Show at Birmingham NEC, UK, between September 29 and October 1.

The company will be on stand G64 offering handling equipment and ancillary items that address the needs of operators in terms of safety and efficiency. The stand centrepiece will be the latest RH90 Roll Handler and the Roll Unloading Trolley from Dotec bv. When combined, the two systems provide fast and efficient handling for roll production, as well as for the slitting, rewinding, converting, printing and packaging processes.

Benefits include capacity to match high-speed slitters; quicker processing time by avoiding manual unloading and packaging; less intensive physical effort for the operator; all leading to more efficient handling and lower process costs.

Established over 30 years ago, Dotec offers one of the widest ranges of roll handling solutions for the flexible packaging and nonwoven hygiene (Fem, Adult & Baby Care) markets.

Also featured, the Moviroll Roll/Reel pusher from Renova allows the operator to effortlessly manoeuvre both large and small cylindrical loads on a flat surface and then place them on the roll stand or shuttle cart.

Two original models, each with two different handle configurations, make Moviroll ideal for handling paper, tissue and converting rolls in a simple and safe manner.

Recently, battery-operated models have been introduced with the advantage of free movement without the constraints of pneumatic connections or electrical cables.

Lightweight airshafts from Svecom are manufactured from aircraft-grade aluminium and can increase process speed. The low weight of the shaft body allows easy and safe manual handling, resulting in efficient insertion and withdrawal of the shaft from the reels, thereby increasing production through quicker reel changes. The Svecom shaft will centre cores; run concentric and faster than competitive products; carry more reel weight; has greater gripping power and will cope with reused or worn cores.

For more than 20 years, Jarshire’s Reelsaver has helped customers reduce waste. Pneumatically operated, its tapered jaws are simply inserted into old or damaged three, six or eight inch ID cores and expanded to return the core to its original shape. With its use, packaging material that once had to be put aside because of damage to cores sustained during transit or on-site handling can now be back in the production stream within minutes.
