Presstek DI ECO-UV draws attention from IPEX visitors

Presstek, one of the leading providers of eco-friendly printing solutions, has reported success at IPEX, one of the UK’s most prestigious print events, which took place on October 31 to November 3, in Birmingham.

Presstek featured new LED UV curing technology for its 34DI ECO-UV digital offset press. Visitors gravitated towards the large display of samples, which were printed live. Visitors were also engaging with DI press experts to discuss the range of capabilities that the 34DI ECO-UV offers and how it can help win new business.

“We are exceptionally pleased with the interest in Presstek’s technology at IPEX,” said Ian Pollock, EAMER region, sales director, Presstek. “Attendees were eager to see the type of work that they can produce with the combination of an LED UV curing system and digital offset press. The results were quite astonishing.”

ECO-UV speed and range of substrates

The integrated LED UV curing system, branded ECO-UV, significantly increases the 34DI’s scope of printing capabilities, now including nearly any offset stock. It easily accommodates plastic, vinyl, foils and metallic paper and board. It is ideal for short-run traditional printing and package printing, including plastic membership and loyalty cards, door hangers and table tents.

The Presstek DI ECO-UV instantly dries substrates, further accelerating production and eliminating sheet marking or offsetting. Additionally, it offers lower energy consumption than standard UV, produces very little heat, and does not release VOCs. Presstek customers who already have a 34DI can have ECO-UV installed directly on-site.
