Quality and colour results in inaugural Print Show for Colourbyte

Colourbyte at The Print ShowColourbyte completed its successful first edition of The Print Show, held at Birmingham’s NEC last month.

The Hemel Hempstead-based print supplier collaborated with Epson on an extensive and colourful 66sqm stand, attracting visitors throughout the three-day show and resulting in numerous quality leads for Colourbyte.

A highlight of the stand was the brand new Epson SureColor SC-P9000V printer and proofer with UltraChrome HDX violet ink – unveiled to the UK public for the first time at The Print Show, only a few days after its press launch. Colourbyte received several orders for the printer ahead of its general release in early November, with customers drawn to its professional results, long-lasting prints, accurate colours and rich, dense blacks.

Visitors were also impressed by a host of A4 printed samples available to take away, showcasing a selection of Colourbyte’s range of over 100 substrates including canvas, wall coverings, self-adhesive media, photo and proofing papers and POS media.

Colourbyte and Epson also demonstrated the Epson SureColor SC-T5200 with scanner option using UltraChrome XD inks for reprographics and CAD/GIS production for indoor POS, and the Epson SureColor SC-S70600 wide-format eco-solvent 64-inch printer ideal for signage, POS, wall covering and canvas printing. Along with the SureColor SC-P9000V, Colourbyte demonstrated its Inkjet Imagesetter Solution, which proved of great interest to customers looking for a cost-effective means of producing chemistry-free colour separation films.

“The inaugural Print Show was very successful for Colourbyte and Epson, with customers now waiting for the new Epson printers to come into stock,” said Colourbyte director Tim Stockley. “We gave out lots of our A4 printed media samples, which customers were thrilled about, as they showed the high-quality print results achievable on different types of media using the Epson printers. The way the media samples were displayed added more colour to our stand – we even had people taking pictures of it!”

Colourbyte was also praised by fellow exhibitor The Printing Charity, which appealed for help after its stand background was not delivered in time for the event. Tim and his team stepped in to print and install graphics in time for the second day of the show – demonstrating the speed and quality of the Epson printers on display.
