Triple certification for Colorgen inks

Since its inception in 2008 Colorgen has enjoyed double digit growth year on year. To support the expansion of its UK-based manufacturing site in 2010, further increase sales and to properly support the company’s growth plans for the future, ColorGen has announced what it believes is a first for the ink industry – simultaneous accreditation in the following standards:

–       ISO9001:2008 Quality Standard

–       ISO14001:2004 Environmental Standard;

–       OHSAS18001:2007 Health & Safety Standard.

Following an internal assessment of how it might gain accreditation to ISO 9001, the management team at Colorgen decided to review its environmental impact and health and safety strategy and seek accreditation for all three standards simultaneously.

Colorgen believes that these accreditations should form a foundation that brings together the operating procedures and legislative requirements of the business.

This can then be used as a powerful tool to maintain and develop procedures along with keeping documentation in order for training, monitoring, inspection and audit purposes.

MD Mark Bowman believes that working to these standards will help maintain Colorgen’s position as a leading supplier to the top tier packaging organisations it serves.

This commitment also shows how important it is for ColorGen to minimise its environmental impact and the risk of injury to its employees and others.
