E&M Bindery & Finishing now offers UV spot & flood UV coating to provide durability and visual appeal to help its print customers add significant value to a wide range of projects. The company recently added a 40” Sakurai screen press to handle all of its in-house UV coating services.

“UV coating enhances a product’s appearance and surface protection at a budget-friendly price,” says president Gary Markovits. “We’re excited to offer our customers this new finishing solution along with a wide range of formula and application options.”

Customers can now choose from overall or spot UV coating in a variety of ink formulas including gloss, satin, matte, raised, soft touch, sandpaper and glitter. UV coating also is available in many soft and semi-rigid substrates including paper, plastic sheet, film and metallic sheet with thicknesses from 0.1 to 0.8mm and dimensions from 14” x 22” to 28” x 40.”

“Adding UV coating is just the latest chapter in E&M’s ongoing commitment to serving as an under-one-roof provider for customers,” concludes Markovits.

The Sakurai offers highly efficient, painstakingly accurate spot UV coating production so E&M can consistently deliver on quality and turnaround demands for its customers’ largest jobs. With production speeds up to 3000 sheets/hour, the Sakurai allows the company to rapidly turn around UV coating work.
