Atlas Converting Equipment has announced the appointment of Philip Nichols as its new marketing & communications manager for both the Atlas and Titan brands of slitter rewinders. He will replace Roger Astell who is taking an early retirement at the end of the year after a period of almost 18 years with the company.
With a background in electronic engineering and several years’ experience marketing technology products within business-to-business markets, Nichols brings both traditional and digital marketing experience to the company. The company will therefore focus on delivering targeted campaigns and content to drive engagement and clear communication of both brands and product value propositions to the global converting market.
Commenting on his appointment, Nichols said: “The Atlas and Titan brands are very well respected in their industry and I am looking forward to the challenge of further developing the awareness of the brands and demand for these great machines in an increasingly competitive and dynamic market place.”
Barrie Homewood, sales & marketing director for the company, added: “This appointment reflects a long term commitment by the company to grow its business globally in slitter rewinder technology for flexible materials, where the Atlas & Titan brands are already acknowledged and well established as world leaders in their respective market sectors.”
