Bekaert moves to expand its converting business
The business centre of Bekaert converting activities has moved to the company’s headquarters at Armentieres in France. It has operated from Sweden since being acquired from Swedish IRT group in 2001. The move to Armentieres is a strategic change to further expand the converting business on international markets and into new application fields.
The support of the technical and commercial abilities at the headquarters will bring synergetic input from the existing expertise in paper and process drying activities. A leading provider of noncontact drying solutions for paper, converting and other industrial processes based on gas and electrically generated infra-red heat radiation, Bekaert IR cassettes in adapted designs for converting and printing processes are available for drying of materials including printing ink, glue, impregnation liquids, paints and lacquers.
