Creation leads on environmental accreditation

Specialist packaging artwork, reprographics, plate and screen producer, Creation Reprographics is pleased to announce it has secured ISO 140001 accreditation

ISO 14001 is the international standard that specifies requirements for an effective environmental management system (EMS) within a company. It provides a framework that the organisation can follow and complements the extensive work Creation has completed in recent years in developing a recycling culture and an environmentally friendly flexographic plate production capability.

Matt Francklow, Creation managing director, comments: “Achieving the accreditation is testament to the hard work the team has put in to the process but most importantly, reflects the importance we place on considering the environment in everything we do.

“We have always been proud of being the development pioneers in the UK of the Asahi AWP water washable plate. Its design eliminates the need for high temperatures or VOC solvents in the washout process and delivers precise plate-to-plate registration with reduced odour in the plate making process.

“We specifically chose to promote that product because of its environmental credentials – reducing waste and assisting in preserving precious energy resources – but at the same time knowing that it delivered stunning quality with brilliant images. Our customers love it and they feel good about its positive sustainability benefits too.

“The environment is front of mind for all brands and retailers at the moment as a result of the government and media focus on food packaging design. At Creation, we are proud of our efforts to support the environment. Our ISO 14001 accreditation is an excellent step forward for our business and will help support our brand and printer clients to move forward with their sustainability strategies too.”
