Durham Box delivers stand out FSDUs for Owlett-Jaton

Corrugated packaging manufacturers, Durham Box, has recently supplied fixings and fasteners wholesaler, Owlett-Jaton, with 250 FSDUs for multiple merchant stores across the UK. The units, which display boxes of woodscrews from the firm’s Vortex range, were die-cut, part assembled, wrapped in outers and provided with store completion instructions and a mop tray.

Durham Box has been servicing a broad segment of the corrugated market for over thirty years. Their major investment in a EFI Nozomi C18000 single pass digital press provides cutting-edge technology, combined with impressive image quality and fast running speeds. Being the first UK packaging manufacturer to invest in a Nozomi, the printer is well and truly embedded in the supply offering from the company.

“Customers like Owlett-Jaton recognise that digital is an attractive solution for them. As there are no printing plate costs, the displays have helped streamline their production processes to reduce waste, improve efficiency and save money,” said Durham Box’s Andy Smith. “For this particular job, we selected a EB flute board grade, which when primed and printed through the Nozomi gives an enhanced finish with a great stand-out presence.”

Martin Rundle, marketing manager at Owlett-Jaton, said: “We have been really impressed with Durham Box’s advanced display solutions and excellent customer service. Their digital print capabilities generate fantastic savings for us and look great.”
