Friedheim creates new converting division

To further enhance its reputation as leading UK and Ireland provider of solutions for conventional and digital print finishing/packaging processes, Friedheim International has set up of a new converting division for an important range of new products. Supplied by its newest agency KAMA – a specialist manufacturer of die-cutting and creasing machines, hot foil stamping machines and folder gluers – all products are designed as efficient finishing solutions for short-run applications across all market sectors: commercial print, digital print, converting and packaging.

“The addition of KAMA and its diverse German-made product range along with the important setting up of a dedicated new converting division and employment of a highly experienced sales manager is a clear indication of how seriously Friedheim views its involvement across all areas of finishing in ommercial and digital print as well as packaging and now converting,” comments managing director Mark Bristow. “It is a highly positive move and one that we would not have undertaken unless we could do justice to the market sector, the manufacturer and existing/future customers.” Chief xecutive officer of KAMA Marcus Tralau comments: “We are very pleased to secure this partnership with Friedheim International as we value their long-standing expertise in the finishing sector, their ability to deliver best quality sales and service to meet the business needs of customers as well as the excellent customer relationships. All these factors can only bode well for our joint future success.”

Heading up the new division is John Harrison who has more than 20 years experience of working with global suppliers of finishing and converting equipment to the graphic arts and packaging industries. John has already been working closely with the new agency and brings knowledge of the business sector along with a clear view of upcoming trends.
