GOEBEL IMS presents its newest development: the state-of-the-art INTERSLIT series
GOEBEL IMS globally stands for innovative slitting and winding solutions for a variety of industries, including film producing and converting sector. At K 2016 in Düsseldorf, Germany, the company will present INTERSLIT series, its newest development. The machine series completes the already well-proven machine series MONOSLIT and XTRASLIT 2 and broadens GOEBEL IMS‘ portfolio of slitting and winding solutions. Already prior to the launch on October 19th, a total of seven machines have been sold to customers in China, Taiwan and South Korea; one of them already being installed and running. With this successful market launch GOEBEL IMS further strengthens its references for BOPA, BSF, PET thin film and BOPP lines.
With the INTERSLIT series, GOEBEL IMS expands its highly productive portfolio by a top-performing slitter rewinder that comprises a clean, integrated machine design and special upgrade features. The series can be used for a wide range of applications, especially for producers of standard packaging films for smaller web widths. Suitable for working widths between 4,000 mm and 7,000 mm and foil thicknesses of 0.5 to 500 µm, INTERSLIT is able to process packaging films, capacitor films, battery separator films, thermal transfer films, metallized foil and thick film for industrial or optical applications.
The machines of INTERSLIT series allow for the production of very thin rolls, starting from a minimum slitting width of 180 mm. The winding stations can accommodate a remarkable roll weight of up to 5,000 kg with an unwind diameter reaching 1,550 mm, the rewind diameter reaching 1,250 mm. INTERSLIT slitter rewinders guarantee top speeds of up to 1,200 m/min thanks to its ultra-light dancer roller. The digital AC drive technology with highly efficient energy recovery helps reduce operational costs and improve energy savings.
Due to the modular machine concept, The INTERSLIT basic model can be upgraded by a variety of technical functions and, thus, individually tailored to customer needs. Options include e.g. a razor blade exchange device and a camera system monitoring the slitting unit. Outstanding success: GOEBEL IMS receives two orders for new primary slitter INTERSLIT before official launch at K 2016
On this year’s K, GOEBEL IMS is presenting its newest primary slitter INTERSLIT to industry professionals. However, prior to the official launch date, GOEBEL IMS has already received orders for seven machines from Korea, China and Japan. This week, GOEBEL IMS closed another deal, continuing the success story of the latest addition to the portfolio. New customer Shanxi Yuncheng Plate-Making Group Co., Ltd. commissioned two INTERSLIT slitter rewinders for the converting of BOPA film. Yuncheng is the worldwide biggest gravure cylinder manufacturer with three PA companies in Tianjin, Kunshan and Zhanjiang and a total output of 18,000 tons per year. The INTERSLIT machines will be installed at Yuncheng’s factories in Tianjin and Kunshan for converting BOPA film. Typical applications are among others packaging for fried and greasy food, meat products and vacuum-packed food. Key characteristics are their high transparency and strength, oil resistivity, non-toxicity as well as fragrance protectiveness and oxygen proof function.
