Huhtamaki Flexible Packaging Group, continues to strengthen its collaboration with Bimec through the installation of two Duplex Turret Slitter Rewinder TCA 64C+, which are in operation since September 2025 at the Durban plant, in South Africa.
This supply is part of a long-standing partnership: back in 2013, Bimec had already supplied the Huhtamaki Group with two TCA 64C Duplex Turret Slitter Rewinders for the UAE plant and the in 2019 delivered four additional machines for a new plant in Egypt: one TCA 64C and three STB 560 Duplex Slitter Rewinders.
The two Duplex Turret Slitter Rewinder TCA 64C+ installed in 2025 have enabled the South African plant to achieve a significant increase in productivity and, four months after the start-up, the machines are operating at full capacity, with complete customer satisfaction.
The TCA 64C+ stands out for its compact design which, thanks to the semi-integrated unwind stand, ensures easy access to the slitting area and eliminates the risk of material contamination. The machine is designed for various slitting solutions, using either razor blades or circular knives — both mechanical and pneumatic — offering great operational flexibility.
Numerous automatisms are included, such as the automatic positioning system of the knife holders and multi-groove female knives, which are combined with the automatic single laser beam for core positioning.
The TCA 64C+ represents an advanced technological solution, designed to meet the productivity, quality and reliability requirements of major international groups.
