ICE Europe even bigger and better

The biggest ICE Europe ever will open its doors from 8 -10 November 2011 at its new venue, the Munich Trade Fair Centre, Germany. At the time of going to press 370 exhibitors from 21 countries had booked space at the world’s leading exhibition for paper, film and foil converting.

With a total exhibition space of 9500 square metres net, ICE Europe 2011 has grown by some 20% compared with the exhibition space at its old venue, Munich’s MOC. More than 58% of ehibitors are German companies, followed by Italy, Great Britain, Switzerland, the US, the Netherlands and France.

“Over the past years ICE Europe has developed into the leading international industry event for converting specialists,” says Nicola Hamann, exhibition director ICE Europe on behalf of the organisers Mack Brooks Exhibitions. “They value this specialised trade exhibition as the ideal platform to establish global networks and to build new business relations.”

ICE Europe attracts predominantly managing directors, plant managers, design and production engineers, technical managers, purchasers and sales and marketing directors from key industry sectors including packaging, food, pharmaceutical, textiles and nonwovens, paper, package printing as well as product development for the automotive, furniture and electronics industries.

Energy efficient production processes and new materials

Key subjects at this year’s exhibition will be new materials conversion, energy efficient production as well as enhanced process control. The exhibiting companies will present innovative equipment and practical solutions for optimised manufacturing processes and production of top quality goods. Many of the exhibits showcased at ICE Europe 2011 will focus on material reduction, process control, waste reduction, improved production processes with reduced energy consumption and new materials from renewable resources. Some of these topics will also be the subject of a conference on Sustainability in packaging – processes and materials. Organised by Fraunhofer Institut, the conference will be held alongside the exhibition.
