AVT has named industry veteran Walter Nackaerts as its new president of European operations. He will be based in Mechelen, Belgium, and brings more than 25 years of experience in a broad range of managerial positions at multinational companies in the printing and healthcare industries.
In his new role, Nackaerts will lead AVT’s European operations at a particularly promising, opportunity-rich time for the company. AVT has engaged in several high-profile installations and partnerships of late, including a strategic alliance with leading solutions provider Erhardt+Leimer to provide a wider range of integrated automation solutions for the printing and converting industries.
Nackaerts began his career with Xerox, where, during his 13-year tenure, he accrued a wealth of experience in sales, marketing and service in the European marketplace, eventually gaining appointment as head of the company’s development center for digital printing solutions in the UK.
Jaron Lotan, CEO of AVT, commented: “Having Walter Nackaerts as a new member of the management team at AVT strengthens our executive focus to drive business and capture the growth opportunities within the European, Russian, Baltics and French speaking African countries. I wish Walter success in this role and welcome him to the AVT family.”
