IPACK-IMA and Converflex 2015

IPACK-IMA 2015IPACK-IMA 2015, alongside specialised exhibitions Converflex, Meat-Tech, DairyTech, Fruit Innovation, and Intralogistica Italia, has kicked off at Fieramilano, Milan, Italy.

The five-day event focuses on the processing, packaging, converting and logistics technology industries; the show has strong international resonance and features an all-comprehensive product and service showcase as well as a full suite of integrated supply chain-related events.

IPACK-IMA, the exhibition of technology for food processing and packaging is offering the most exhaustive, value-increasing overview of the entire supply chain for food and non-food industries.

The package printing and converting sectors, whose solutions apply across the different specialisations on display at the shows, are represented by the technological offer of Converflex, organised by Centrexpo Spa, and once more proves a winning brand for the display of assembled and running machinery.

This is further shown by the unfailing presence of Italian manufacturers members of ACIMGA, among the global leaders in the industry. Topping off the event with equipment and technology for industrial material handling is Intralogistica Italia, promoted by Ipack-Ima Spa in partnership with Deutsche Messe.

The event is welcoming a total of around 2,000 exhibitors, one-third of which coming from 54 countries outside of Italy, spread over 160,000 square meters of exhibition space and 11 halls.

Opening Conference with designer Carlo Ratti.

Meanwhile, an exceptional testimonial like Carlo Ratti, head of the prestigious MIT SENSEable City Lab, Boston, USA, and one of Wired magazine’s 50 people who will change the world, headed up the IPACK-IMA Opening Conference this year. It was coupled with a discussion among major players in the global industrial scene.

The Conference pairs Carlo Ratti, owner of the eponymous Turin studio and leading Italian designer and engineer who conquered the US market, and the ensemble of exhibitions led by IPACK-IMA, showcasing Italy’s top-notch technology and engineering serving productions.

Ratti took the podium to launch a forward-looking message. “Future Food District: new technology & user interaction” is the title of his speech, the pivotal point of the inaugural ceremony of a great exhibition event unparalleled in the world for its comprehensive product and service display and exceptional co-location with the Milan Universal EXPO 2015.

The conclusive speech of the ceremony will be provided by Giuliano Poletti, the Italian Minister of Employment and Social Policies. IPACK-IMA, Daitytech, Meat-Tech, Converflex and Intralogistica Italia will close tomorrow, Saturday May 23.
