Launch of ICE South East Asia
Organisers of one of the world’s leading exhibitions for the paper, film, and foil converting industry Mack Brooks Exhibitions, will bring the ICE exhibition to South East Asia September 5-7, 2018.
The first exhibition of its kind for the region will be held at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) and will co-locate with the successful CCE South East Asia exhibition.
Many suppliers have already selected booth space in an enthusiastic response to the official launch, during ICE Europe earlier this month. Equipment suppliers covering technologies from slitter winders and rewinding machinery to specific machine part cleaning units are already represented on the ICE South East Asia floor plan.
In addition, strong support from the Association of International Metallizers, Coaters and Laminators (AIMCAL) includes a planned group of AIMCAL members showcasing their expertise. Craig Sheppard executive director of AIMCAL reports: “We are delighted to hear that the ICE exhibition will debut in South East Asia in 2018. Our members will be looking forward to this exhibition and will be excited about the opportunity to present our expertise to the ASEAN market”.
Strong local support for the exhibition from associations including the Thai Pulp and Paper Industries Association and the Thai Screen and Graphic Print Association indicate a need for improved converting equipment in the ASEAN market. The region has a population of 620 million and over half are classified as middle class. This young and affluent demographic is driving consumption rates and placing an incredible stress on the supply industries of heavy converted material users, like food and beverage, electronics, packaging, printing and cosmetics.
