Metsä Board highlighting packaging board’s roles in brand positioning at Luxe Pack 2016

Metsa Board Perfume BagThis week at Luxe Pack 2016 in Monaco, Metsä Board, part of Metsä Group, is showcasing a selection of fresh fibre folding boxboards and white linerboards designed to meet the demands of the most sophisticated packaging designs.

Metsä Board has increasingly focused its attention upon supporting customers in differentiating their brands through high quality presentation and environmental credentials. All the company’s paperboards are made from a renewable and recyclable resource – fresh fibres. The fibres are of known origin and they help ensure purity and brightness of appearance.

Christophe Baudry, commercial director Beautycare at Metsä Board, said: “We realise the important role that packaging material has in the overall positioning of a luxury brand. Visual appearance is key as light interacts with materials and finishes. Also sharply folded angles on a box can all communicate quality.”

Metsä Board’s paperboards are consistent in quality and evenly distribute light across the sheet. They are designed to convey excellence and to accommodate a wide arrange of print techniques and finishes including gloss UV, embossing or hot foil stamps.

Baudry added: “The winning range of cartons in the Beauty & Cosmetics category at this year’s Pro Carton ECMA Awards, are perfect examples of the eye-catching elements that can be achieved with our paperboards. The Flormar All Eyes on Me Collection featured different cartons all made from our Carta Solida.”

Metsä Board’s paperboards use fresh fibres grown in sustainably managed northern European forests. All Metsä Board mills hold PEFC and FSC chain-of-custody certificates, as well as the highest environmental and manufacturing quality standards.

In the upcoming October issue of Converter, you can read more about Metsä Board’s forest management scheme and how it helps guarantee the continuation of supply of the fresh forest fibres that are used in its products.
