New facility for Omet tissue machine division
Omet has commenced operations from its new and larger premises dedicated to the production of tissue converting machines. The expansion of Omet in the past few years has required additional space to strengthen the company leadership and support development of new technologies in the industry.
“The significant increase in orders for machinery in recent years has not been the only reason that led us to implement a further expansion of the production department of Omet,” explains sales and marketing director Marco Calcagni. “Our machines division for tissue needs room to develop new projects that we are pursuing with great conviction and confidence and that will be the leading industry’s technology in the coming years. This is only the first step of a strategic plan of development for tissue that will provide important new investments in the next two or three years. This is definitely a first major change that will bring great advantages in terms of production efficiency and capacity to meet the growing demands of our machines from all over the world.”?The new facility comprises 1450 square meters dedicated to the manufacturing sector and 550 square meters of office space. The warehouse and offices were completely renovated meticulously following all safety and environmental regulations. Photovoltaic panels have been installed on the roof of the plant to fully cover the electricity needs of the company and make it a ‘green’ factory.
