With a new plant for the company division of paper finishing and print, the company is increasing its commitment in the Berlin-Brandenburg region and is setting up an independently managed preprint plants in the direct vicinity of the Wepoba Wellpappenfabrik and Panther Display in Wustermark.

The new building, which will boast a roofed area of 5,200 m², will accommodate the world’s fastest and widest directly-driven flexo-preprint machine. The building will be erected on a site covering approximately 15,000 m² and will have sufficient scope for the future installation of additional printing presses.

The machine specified by Panther and manufactured by Bobst is the world’s first directly driven eight-colour+varnish flexo-preprint machine featuring a printing width of 2.8 metres. It also boasts a maximum printing speed of 600 m/min. Previously achieved speeds topped out at 460 m/min. and printing widths at 2.5 metres. In addition, the plant will be equipped with a new set-up system that will be significantly faster and more productive than previous systems. Furthermore, it will feature a smartGPS system that will considerably shorten set-up times.
