New UV coating and varnishing options from Komfi

Leading manufacturer of laminating machines, Komfi, has announced an upgrading of its range of UV coating and UV spot varnishing machines.

The FULLMATIC series of UV coating machines are noted for their use of the ‘three roller’ system of varnish application. Their design has been based on the need for a compact, yet robust and reliable solution for professional use.

All models in the FULLMATIC series feature a sheet feeding system – two that are aided by an automated feeding head – and all encompass the Komfi hallmarks of easy operation, intuitive software, easy maintenance and protective components for operator safety, with high output quality.

The three models that comprise the FULLMATIC series are the FULLMATIC 36 – that operates at 20 m/min with manual feeding – the FULLMATIC 52 and FULLMATIC 76 – both with automatic feeding heads and top speeds of 30 m/min.

Elsewhere, the two models in the SPOTMATIC series of spot UV varnishing machines both utilise inkjet print technology for applying the UV varnish on to the substrate. As a result, this method of varnish application is, for example, particularly suitable for lower volume job orders involving complex varnishing effects that require multi-stage printing before curing.

The incorporated intuitive software provides a guarantee of easy operation and adjustment of the machine when setting up and changing from one job to the next.

The two SPOTMATIC models are the SPOTMATIC 54, with a maximum feeder output of 2,400 sheets per hour, and the SPOTMATIC 76, at 450 sheets per hour.
