Romanco combine two sites under one roof

The Rastignano site has already been comprehensively renovated and expanded to 6,500 square metres and 110 employees work there.

The restructuring of the production site did not result in any staff cuts. In fact, the goal of the consolidation is to process the increasing volume of orders within the shortest possible time. With extensive investment and consistent implementation of ‘lean principles’, Romaco is optimizing its working processes and expanding its production capacity.

The primary and secondary packaging of pharmaceutical products and cosmetics are the core activities of the Italian brands of the Romaco Group. Macofar produces machines and full lines for filling liquids and powders, as well as capsules. Promatic has many years experience in the development of cartoning machines and case packers. And Unipac has specialized in the filling of semi-solids into tubes.

“The consolidation and reorganization of Romaco increases our efficiency and effectiveness as well as our flexibility,” explains Paolo Naldi, managing director of Romaco at Rastignano. “The extensive investment in the common location will contribute significantly to improvement of our quality and supply capacity.”
