Workhorse tape for foam insulation
Avery Dennison Performance Tapes has introduced a new pressure-sensitive double-sided tissue tape product for the foam insulation market. Avery Dennison FT 5212 tape is claimed to deliver ease of conversion and handling coupled with versatile, effective applied performance in a broad variety of day-to-day bonding and holding scenarios in automotive sound and vibration deadening, as well as insulation in building and construction works, and for heavy-duty industrial machinery.
It combines a modified acrylic emulsion adhesive on a tissue carrier with a heavyweight PPP liner – a construction that meets converters’ needs for an efficient multi-purpose ‘workhorse’ tape at an appropriate price level.  It converts and diecuts cleanly and accurately — an attribute conferred by the lay flat qualities of the moisture-stable 120 micron PPP liner.  Minimum order quantities are low, and lead times short.
