Datalase Leads Digital Revolution In Print
Leading in-line digital printing experts, DataLase, is pleased to announce a further patent has been granted for its Variprint digital printing platform. The revolutionary print solution combines DataLase core colour-change materials technology with the next generation of ultra-high performance laser print engines to deliver high speed, high resolution, on-demand digital printing. This enables brand owners to digitally print products and packaging in-line at full line speeds, realising maximum benefit from late stage customisation.
“This patent further strengthens our position, providing overarching protection for a broad range of materials that enable inkless digital printing” said DataLase Programme Manager for Materials, Dr. Anthony Jarvis.
Variprint materials can be incorporated into a broad range of coatings, including water-based, solvent-based and UV curable systems, allowing virtually any substrate to be digitally printed. In combination with the scalable modular design of the Variprint print engine, this allows a diverse range of applications to be addressed, including high speed coding, mailing, in-line digital printing of labels and packaging, late stage customisation of corrugated cases and direct decoration of bottles and closures.
DataLase CEO, Chris Wyres, commented “Variprint is the first of an exciting range of digital printing solutions that we are bringing to market with our strategic partners. Our unique technology platforms have been designed to meet the needs of brand owners, delivering enhanced flexibility, quality, productivity and consumer interaction.”
