GOEBEL offers limitless converting of film at K 2013
At the K 2013 trade fair, GOEBEL Schneid- und Wickelsysteme will be presenting a full spectrum of slitter rewinders for the converting of films. GOEBEL sets no limits on the development and manufacturing of customised machines. The motto: more productive, wider and faster. This is particularly true of slitter rewinders for converting films with a working width of 11,000 mm, as well as for converting the film rolls on secondary slitter rewinders. The machines are developed and manufactured in Darmstadt according to customer requirements for a wide range of usage areas. The features of their quality are absolute precision, the highest level of technical perfection and the best roll converting. Innovative solutions in the machine concept improve cost efficiency in the production and converting process, reduce set-up times and ensure outstanding rewind quality.
Films that the German company has never converted on its machines are few and far between. The list of films processed includes BOPP and BOPET, OPP, CPP, BOPA, BOPS, PE and other special films, as well as applications for capacitor films, metallized and optical films, and many other special applications. All types of films in material thicknesses between 0.5 and 500 µm can be ideally converted on GOEBEL machines.
A step ahead with GOEBEL
In the last year, GOEBEL has built the widest and fastest slitter rewinder for films. The MONOSLIT GIANT converts film webs with a width of 11,000mm into perfect film rolls, and allows speeds of up to 1500m/min. As well as increasing production capacity, many machine components have been further developed to reduce changeover times considerably. A razor blade hopper in the machine switches the industrial blades used in the blink of an eye, fully automatically. The benefits for the film converter are clear: greater safety and a significant increase in productivity.
GOEBEL XTRASLIT II is the new, secondary machine with a broad application spectrum from Darmstadt. It converts packaging films, PVC, PE, CPP, BOPA and many other types of film, as well as compounds and even sensitive papers from a working width of up to 3,500mm to narrow cuts of 270mm and less. Thanks to the modular design principle, many different equipment variants can be configured according to customer requirements.
GOEBEL’s TWINWIND dual-shaft machine is a universally usable machine for the converter. It processes flexible packaging materials (e.g. PP/PA film, PET film, PE film, PVC film, other plastic films, metallized films, flexible packaging, self-adhesive laminates). Short web travel after slitting guarantees top roll quality. The machine is used with friction winding on two rewind shafts, as well as with direct winding on pneumatic expanding shafts.
Converters of metal films, compounds, technical papers and flexible packaging rely on the GOEBEL OPTIMA 2000. Thanks to its various integrated rewind systems, it is able to convert almost any material up to a working width of 2,100mm, and down to the narrowest slitting widths of under 5mm. In January this year, the widest slitter rewinder for aluminium foil from 9µm thickness with an unwind weight of up to 14.5t and a max. unwind diameter of up to 1,850mm was developed for a customer from South Korea: a real benchmark for our company.
