Mack Brooks launches CCE International, Corrugated & Carton Exhibition

Against the background of growing worldwide demand for corrugated and folding carton, Mack Brooks Exhibitions has announced the launch of CCE International – the only specialised exhibition in Europe for the corrugated and carton industries. The show will take place from 19-21 March 2013 at the Munich Trade Fair Centre in Germany, co-located with the 8th ICE Europe, the world’s leading trade exhibition for paper, film and foil converting.

With an ever-increasing demand for attractive and environmentally friendly packaging solutions, the worldwide consumption of corrugated and cartonboard is growing. This is mainly due to an increased standard of living in the emerging economies and a general awareness for sustainably produced and packaged products. For the corrugated and carton converting industries, this development offers excellent opportunities to further increase market share within the packaging sector. Corrugated boxes and folding cartons guarantee excellent protection of the packaged goods, while being lightweight and recyclable.

“It is in this context that we decided to launch a dedicated exhibition for this industry sector in Europe,” says Stephen Brooks, chairman Mack Brooks Exhibitions. “With CCE International we finally offer a tailormade platform for the corrugated and carton industries. The exhibition is designed to give raw material manufacturers as well as machinery and service suppliers a unique opportunity to present their latest products and developments to corrugated and folding carton converters, as well as packaging designers.”

“Feedback from the companies in the corrugated and carton sector who we had informed in advance of our plans to launch CCE International was thoroughly positive. Machinery manufacturers as well as suppliers of raw material, services or ancillaries are excited about the idea of finally having a market place of their own; many companies have immediately confirmed that they will participate,” explains Nicola Hamann, exhibition director, CCE International. “The first CCE International is therefore set to be well received by the corrugated and carton industry and we are confident that the launch event will proof a solid basis for the development of the exhibition into Europe’s first choice event for this industry sector.”

For companies interested in exhibiting at CCE International 2013, an exhibitor brochure is now available including useful information about the exhibition, the venue and how to book stand space. As an introductory offer, there is an early-bird discount of 10% on stand space for exhibitors who book before the end of June. The profile of CCE International includes raw materials, corrugated equipment, corrugated converting equipment, folding carton converting equipment, printing equipment, pre-production and pre-press, materials handling and warehousing, waste extraction and baling as well as machine and plant controls.

Visitors to the exhibition will include trade professionals of corrugated board plants and sheet plants, corrugated sheet feeders, folding carton converters, packaging designers and specifiers, rigid carton manufacturers, honeycomb board manufacturers, core board and core tube manufacturers and trade agencies. CCE International will also attract a variety of production specialists across industry sectors such as food and beverage, furniture, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and tobacco.

CCE International will benefit from strong synergies with the 8th ICE Europe that will take place at the same time and venue. With 384 exhibitors from 23 countries and 5,700 visitors from 65 countries, the previous event was the biggest converting exhibition ever. ICE Europe 2013 will take place in halls A5 and A6 at the Munich Trade Fair Centre; CCE International will be held in Hall B5, situated exactly opposite.
