Pulse moves to larger facility

Ink manufacturer Pulse Roll Label Products has announced its move to a new and larger manufacturing plant in Yate, Bristol. The 27,000 sq. mt. plant will provide the necessary space to meet increasing international demand for the company’s products and incorporate the latest technologies for manufacturing and research and development.

“We believe that helping our customers to be successful is the best way to ensure our success and the new plant will help us to achieve this,” explains managing director Gary Seward. “Our manufacturing operation will be completely revamped and streamlined with dedicated, colour-coded bays to house the manufacture of different narrow web label and packaging ink and coating formulations. The new plant will house everything under one roof and gives us the opportunity to start from scratch and put in place lean manufacturing practices that will ultimately benefit both ourselves and our customers.”

Relocation from the company’s nearby 5,000 sq.mt. facility in Yate is expected to be completed by the end of June 2012 by which time it is anticipated that all staff and existing equipment will be in place at the new plant.

“We are targeting new markets and expanding to a more international role,” continues Seward. “The new plant will enable us to add new technologies in ink manufacturing as and when we need to and provide our growing customer base with the printing and converting solutions they need in a constantly changing market sector.”

Pulse Roll Label Products has been supplying the label converting industry since 2000 and is part of the Pulse Group of companies.  The company’s portfolio includes UV and water-based inks, coatings and adhesives plus digital and special effect inks and varnishes as well as pressroom products and cleaning solutions.
