Managing director for CorrBoard sets the tone for future strategy

Rob Burgin, formerly general manager for DS Smith Northfields, has been appointed to the role of managing director for Corrboard, the independent sheet feeding specialist based in Scunthorpe.

Taking on the responsibility for the safe running of the business, Rob will support the wider team to provide quality and service to customers, while also delivering profitable and sustainable returns to shareholders.

Furthermore, he will set the tone for the future strategy of the business by implementing a phased change management programme to ensure that the company can meet with its ambitious longer-term objectives.

With experience of both the print and packaging industries, Rob brings a wealth of knowledge and category insight to his role.

He comments: “While I have experience within the print and packaging sectors, this is a new and exciting challenge for me. CorrBoard has a strong and growing presence in the market and working with the wider team here, I want to make sure we have a reputation for quality and service to match.

“We have set out our strategy and know what we want to achieve. It will take hard work, commitment and determination but I can already see that we have the right people in place to make it happen.”

Rob is the first of a series of senior hires that are planned at the business, with further appointments to strengthen the senior management team to be announced over coming months.

CorrBoard is a privately-owned, independent sheet feeder. The business manufactures corrugated cardboard from a purpose-built facility in Scunthorpe.
